Synopsis

"In this book, we illustrate the sheltered model in the most accessible format possible. Using vignettes based on real classroom lessons, we describe each of the 30 components. It is our desire that this book will provide educators with a resource to improve significantly the level of instruction for English language learners." This book includes a detailed explanation of the Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol along with many resources for classroom teachers.
