Synopsis

This book has three units: Look Around, Figure It Out, and Starting Now. Each unit has 5 stories, one of which is from Time magazine for kids on things like bats, fossils, and plants. Each story has questions and activities as well as something called study skills. The first one is looking at a labeled map of a neighborhood and answering questions about it. There is also a reading for comprehension story right after that. There is also a poem of different types before each story.
